Troubleshoot widget installation

Check the usual reasons the Tawasol launcher is missing or opens in the wrong direction.

Use this while you are checking a new install, or when the launcher is missing. You need the live page and the snippet that is actually deployed on it.

Widget not appearing

  • Confirm the widget key and API base were copied correctly.
  • Check that the snippet is in the live page source.
  • Reload the page in a private window so an old cache is not hiding the new snippet.

Snippet in the wrong place

The reliable place is just before the closing </body> tag. If the script landed in the wrong template block, move it and publish again.

Cache or CDN delay

  • Clear the page cache, plugin cache, or CDN cache.
  • Retry on a page you know has the latest template or deployment.
  • Wait a few minutes if the host applies cached templates slowly.

CSP or script blocking

A strict Content Security Policy, or a browser extension, can block the hosted widget script. If the site uses strict security headers, allow the Tawasol widget host and your Tawasol API base in the script and network rules.

Wrong locale or direction

If the widget opens on the wrong side or in the wrong direction, check whether the snippet uses data-locale="en" or data-locale="ar". Match the locale to the page when you can. The choices are in Arabic and English widget layouts.
